We have cruised quite a bit with a number of cruise lines and enjoyed most of them. Seabourn had been on our wish list as we had heard good things. We enjoy Asia, have good friends in Singapore, and the cruise offered a good blend of ports and sea day.
From arriving at the pier to departing the ship the service we received was outstanding in every way. There is no shortage of staff who are attentive, friendly and get to know you very quickly.
Suite 652 was spacious, had a nice tv/sitting area, table and chairs, bar, walk-in robe and marble bathroom. The ship itself is well laid out, elegant and easy to get around. The ship had a great feel, nowhere ever felt crowded, and it was never a hassle getting on or off. We had a couple of spells of rciky seas but the ship seemed to handle it well.
Was nice to be on a ship where there was some life after the show and people took the opportunity to dance. The entertainment was very good and for a relatively small ship was right up there with the best. The use of large LCD screens allowed some spectacular backdrops to the shows.
We like to enjoy the ships we sail on as a destination in themselves. The ship is only two years old and beautifyully presented. Plenty of areas to relax and enjoy during the day, and nice venues for a drink before dinner. There were always sun lounges available, but somtimes a bit hard to fine some shade from the sun. Sun lotion is provided at the pool. All the restaurants are included incluing Sushi, Thomas Keller, the Collonade and of the course the main restuarant, which is beautiful and provides a great selection every night. The food was top class wherever we ate, including the pool grill, which is turned into an outside dinner venue in the evening with surpringly good food. Keep your eye out for particular themed menus at the various venues and don't miss the galley lunch, it is spectacular, or the Chef's interpretation dinner in the main restaurant. Caviar is available 24/7. Should you vist Ko Kood the champagen and caviar beach bbq is also a winner. There is also a good range of included wines and champagne.
Value for money is a subjective assessment and will vary depending on expectation. Seabourn are more expensive than most but I believe we got what we paid for in every way. Was a geat experience. We have already paid our future cruise deposite and will definately enjoy Seabourn and the great poeple on-board in the future.
