WE chose this cruise as it went from our home port of Adelaide so was an easy decision to make. The ship is getting on and looked tired in places but the cabin and entertainment areas were decorated very nicely. The beds were very comfortable and cabin staff were great. We travelled with friends and family so there were 11 of us in total including an 11 year old. We had a table of 8 in traditional dining but the staff accommodated us quite easily when we all wanted to sit together in anytime dining. The food was very good in the dining room and although I do not like the buffets the others in our group enjoyed the food in the casual eateries. The pub lunch was a nice addition with traditional English food. The ports were great and we really had fun with the trips which I booked independently online before the cruise. We didn't get to see the Milford sound due to high seas, which we were all disappointed about, but better to be safe than sorry. Entertainment was great with a mixture of bands to suit all tastes, some quite bars and others with plenty of noise. The nightclub was very nice and there were quiet booths away from the dance floor for chatting and great bar service, over 18's only. The front pool was really nice with saunas and steam rooms and two jacuzzis for adults only, above this was the Sanctuary, an area of plush loungers and bar service with food, which was an additional charge of $20Aus per day but we didn't bother with it. Overall a nice cruise on an older ship.
