We wanted a winter break and chose this cruise because it was a newer ship and much cheaper than Celebrity’s Edge. We also were interested in the new music walk area of the ship as we are music lovers.
Embarkation was a breeze although traffic into Port Everglades was very heavy. Our room was ready and very nice. Veranda on deck 7 with a great port side view and close to the aft elevator. The veranda was awesome for morning coffee! Bed was very comfy and the bathroom tight but the shower was very spacious. Our only complaint about the room was the doors slamming every morning at sunrise. I wish people would be a little more aware of the noise they are making and that not everyone wants to be awake at 630 am on vacation!
Dining was good overall. The MDR generally good, not great. Very long wait on Gala nights! Pinnacle grill was okay, nothing special. Steak well cooked but bland. Rudi’s was great. Very attentive service and delicious French cuisine. Tamarind was amazing with its food and beautiful aft view! We did not spend much time in the Lido buffet...typical crowded cruise cafeteria really.
Straightforward design. Ample storage. Comfortable bed. Veranda great for morning coffee. Bathroom adequate with a very nice large shower.
