We wanted to do this itinerary and our regular cruise line wasn’t doing it at the time we wanted to go in January so our travel agent suggested Princess and said they were a good cruise line. They were definitely not up to the level of service or up to par on food experiences compared to other lines we have been on. It’s the first holiday I’ve returned from and didn’t gain any weight. We were very disappointed but others may not have been. We have been spoiled by services and food preparations on other lines. Princess may be considered upscale compared to Carnival, but they are far below other lines we have cruised with. It was not a cheap cruise as we upgraded our suite considerably from a standard stateroom to a suite but we don’t feel we got value for our money in any other area. We were told our itinerary when we booked and we began making plans for our shore excursions. Three weeks before we were emailed that the itinerary was changing and would be reversed which meant having to change our plans while in ports on different days. Not that bad but still something that wasn’t anticipated when making all of our plans initially. Cabo was a disappointing stop as it was very very short time in port and we have been to Cabo before. It’s a lovely stop if you have time to get past the pier.
The cabin/suite was lovely and very spacious but the balcony was quite narrow and we couldn’t recline on the lounge chairs. The suite layout or diagram online showed a different layout with two balconies and our unit only had one very narrow balcony
