Sail Date: Jan 2020
Cabin: Interior
Traveled with children

On arrival our cabin had not been cleaned , previous occupants rubbish still in bin, carpet not vacuumed, dirty marks on dressers, lip chapstick on floor, lollie papers in drawers, dirty water floating in shower base, overflow of basin encrusted with black/ green gunk, ceiling fan covered in dust. Took several goes over as many days to clean this and repair toilet and ,blocked sink. Locked out of faulty safe several times. All of this meant unable to use our cabin and / or bathroom for hours at a time. Very inconvenient and also you are discouraged from using common area bathrooms to minimise contamination/ noro virus etc.

We were refused a cabin change even after offering to pay for one. We felt unclean throughout cruise. Our cruise was a 13 day bottom end cruise Fremantle to Fremantle. We met other people who had been given exchange cabins throughout cruise for varying and no reasons.

The ship needs a good clean all over. Cushions were malodorous in some venues.

Cabin Review

Interior

Overall needed cleaned. All cupboards and ledges need washed .Cabin had not been cleaned on arrival. Previous occupants rubbish still in bin and various articles on the floor and in drawers. The carpet had not been vacuumed.Ceiling fan encrusted with dust. Clumps of dust hanging from under the Pullman bed. Bathroom sink overflow caked with bacteria. The safe didn’t work. Paper on bathroom floor from previous occupants lay on floor for 2 days despite being told cabin was cleaned

Cabin size too small for 3 people, the step ladder takes up considerable floor space.smallest cabin of any ship I’ve cruised on.

4 wheel walker would not fit through cabin door.

No available armchair or couch to sit in own cabin.

The toilet broke down twice ,wouldn’t flush, the sink stopper wouldn’t hold water, then supposedly fixed, the stopper then wouldn’t release water. All of these issues denied all of us access to our cabin for many hours over a few days, forcing us to use the common toilet facilities which you’re constantly reminded over the tannoy to avoid using because of spread of germs.
