It was a wonderful cruise. Spoiled me for any other cruise line. The restaurant food and service was lovely. Much beyond expectations. Our cabin steward was very attentive. The room was very nice and I loved the veranda. The cocktail staff were the best. For the most part, the included excursions were very nice. There were never any lines to get off or get on the ship. Everyone were so pleasant and helpful. That in itself made the cruise so enjoyable. The Jupiter itself was so clean and modern and the Scandinavian interior design was very much appreciated. The live music provided was wonderful ranging from classical, pop, country and western to jazz. The afternoon tea was so enjoyable and relaxing. Our time in Barcelona was wonderful and the included tour provided a nice overview of the city. I think my two favorite ports were Sete and Monaco. The included excursions served as a good overview of the port/city and there was plenty of time to explore on our own. Monaco was an especially nice experience. In Marsalis, our time in the North African quarter was an exploration of signs, sounds, and smells. One nice thing was that in every port, we were the only ship which made for a very nice, uncrowded experience. We enjoyed Piza but found Florence just too crowded and busy. I would definitely sail with Viking again, in fact, it will be hard for me to consider any other cruise line. If you are on the fence whether to sail with Viking, do it. I dont think you will regret it.
