I wanted a river cruise so that we didn't have to change hotels and organize activities. It was an excellent way to see Europe and not waste time with logistics and changing hotels/cities. We went on many of the excursions and found the places very interesting and picturesque.

The daily excursions were timed for a morning or afternoon time so we could still make it back for lunch or dinner. There was enough time to make it back to get ready for lunch or dinner and evening activities.

The cruise director, Anthony, was very cordial, knowledgeable and funny. The staff members and servers all did an excellent job in making sure we were taken care of and happy. The rooms were comfortable and spacious enough for our needs.. We had a balcony view and I would recommend that if it is affordable. We were pleased with the meals and had enough choices so we weren't eating the same thing every night. I would recommend Viking to anyone!
