My wife and I are Celebrity Elite members and have cruised nearly 40 times. We chose the EDGE because of the Caribbean location and we wanted to show two of our friends what a great experience Celebrity offered.

We scheduled with our agent two months before the cruise in January. We booked adjacent "Infinite Veranda" staterooms, but were unable to get Anytime Dining, which I thought was odd. We were assigned to a dining room and given a time (more on that later). I printed up the current list of "Elite" class upgrades which included a theater tour and wine discounts as well as a few cocktail parties and a daily cocktail hour. We had no issues with scheduling our shore excursions through Celebrity. Not being serious elitists, we were a bit surprised that there were areas of the ship accessible only to Suite Class customers. We had never experienced such selectivity on Celebrity or any other line. We specifically avoided "Blu" class as we had tried it before and found the experience dismal and the food awful.

On arrival, embarkation was quick and efficient. We essentially walked on to the ship. The crew was friendly. We were surprised that our shore excursion tickets were not in the room and just assumed they would be delivered later. We had an invitation waiting for us for dinner in one of the four restaurants. The time was earlier than our scheduled time.
