We had heard from friends who went on this particular cruise. We searched other cruise lines but felt for a first cruise this was perfect for us. Viking handled everything from the time we got off the plane until we were dropped at the airport. We were treated like valued guests. Everything from cool cloths at the end of an excursion to the bartender knowing us by drink! We especially enjoyed our cruise director and her unplanned evening shore excursion. The food each day was a delight and we enjoyed all of the evenings entertainments. Watching other cruise line groups while out on excursions, we realized we had a great organization at work for us. We loved everything about the trip and never felt exhausted after excursions even in the record heat. We would have liked an extra excursion in Amsterdam during our extended stay. It was the best trip we have ever taken and will definitely return to Viking.
