Let me start by saying I normally don't write reviews. If you are already booked with RCL then this review will only cause you to worry. If you are not booked yet then I would strongly consider another cruise line. That said let me start with that this is about the 15th cruise that my wife and I have taken with 5 different cruise lines. For this trip we sailed wit 2 other couples all if us in our fifties with somewhat active life styles. At the end of the cruise we all shared the same opinion of RCL.

The main complaints that we had were with the ship and RCL, not the ports. We did have one port problem but first let address the ship. The size and the layout of the ship were fine we had no trouble getting around, the ship is starting to show its age as they replaced the railings on all the 8th deck (our deck) balconies mid way thru the cruise. Our cabin was of similar size as other ships but we had several small things wrong (remote for the TV didn't work, handle on dresser drawer would come off when opened, curtain on balcony door was so dirty that the white sheers had about 2" of black mold on the bottom).

The entertainment on the ship was very good as far as the main shows, but after the main show that was it. I was surprised that they had no comedians on this cruise. The casino was large lots of slots, about six table games. The food on the ship had it's problems. The staff were very good and did everything possible to make your meal enjoyable but the food at best was average. We ate breakfast and lunch in the windjammer on most days and there was there seemed to be a lot of recycling of food. If you had lamb for dinner one day you were sure to have lamb burgers for lunch the next. The food also had one thing in common everyday and that was the temperature. It was cold. The BBQ at the pool was the worst lunch. The chicken tasted like they just pulled it out of the fridge. The ran out of buns for the burgers for a while and the main side dish was a mountain of rice and beans (at least that was warm)
