This was the first cruise our family of four (2 x adults,2 x teenagers) had been on so we didn't know what to expect. I had been reading so-so reviews about Quantum of the Seas and I was apprehensive about what we would find. In summary - we thought the cruise was amazing and are so glad we went!
We embarked at Singapore and after a small hiccup were on the ship and eating lunch. After the first afternoon, the crowds thinned out and we had fun exploring all the nooks and crannies. Our kids made friends immediately with others their own age and then they were off doing fun things with their new mates. We saw them once a day (maybe!) and we had to leave messages for them on the door if we needed to communicate! Our friendly room attendant was fantastic and kept us up to date with where the kids were as well as he regularly talked with them as they came and went.
We knew cruises had a good reputation with food and Quantum of the Seas didn't disappoint. The kids only ate at Windjammer or Sorrentos but my husband and I ate in the dining rooms mostly. The food was varied and mostly delicious (one steak wasn't great but we loved the Cherries Jubilee!). However, the highlight for us were the activities and we enjoyed trying new things and going to the shows. Trivia quizzes, bingo, dance classes, stretching classes, iFly, Northstar, music shows, competitions, world class entertainment with trapeze shows, tribute bands, comedians etc made this cruise for us.
Very comfortable, plentiful storage room and lots of space. Good shower too.
