The Joy was supposed to be a new ship with race track and modern luxurious feel. We got the opposite, depressed staff, sick people, highly unsatisfied and worst experience we have ever had on a ship. One shore excursion charged us $15 for a photo they never emailed. Sent NCL a review and they didn’t care one but. There were so many sick people from the norovirous we weren’t even allowed to serve ourselves anything. We couldn’t play ping pong or miniature golf, no activities of any kind the entire trip.
Entertainment had to be pre-booked with a reservation. We didn’t know that so didn’t see but one show as walk-ins. The ship holds too many passengers. Our cruise had 4500 passengers without crew and the theatre held about 900. Pretty ridiculous.
Even the toilet paper was taken out of the room the night before we disembarked! Who wants single ply TP? Not sure we will go on another NCL ship again.
Cabin was nice and modern. Smelled or rubbing alcohol after guest room attendant was there each time but at least that meant It was clean I guess.
