In June of 2014 my mother in law treated our family to a cruise through Royal Caribbean on the Oasis of the Seas. She was a seasoned cruiser, as were her parents before her. She’d taken my husband on cruises when he was younger, and had often cruised with her best friend. The cruise in June of 2014 included my mother in law, my husband, mom’s best friend, my children, and myself.

This cruise was to celebrate my children’s graduation, our engagement and Mom getting through her surgery for Stage 3C colon cancer.

We were utterly enchanted by The Oasis. It was an amazing experience. My daughter who had survived an attack on camps “graduated” on the Oasis with the ship’s Captain presenting her with her diploma and staff made it a super special experience. Mom had provided the kids with a shared interior cabin, and the “adults” got balcony accommodations. I am a natural night owl and so is my husband, so we spent a lot of time wandering the ship at night and sitting on our balcony enjoying the breeze, the night and the sounds of the ship.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony

The cabin was lovely, bigger than expected, we loved the balcony, even though it technically had an "obstructed view" it suited us just fine. The staff member assigned to our cabin was very kind and helpful.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

Diamonds International ripped my mother in law off regarding a "rare yellow emerald ring" We only found out this year that it was fake.
