Sail Date: Jun 2019

Our first experiences with cruising were on oceans. Although they allowed us to experience locations and sites we enjoyed, my husband and I didn't enjoy the size and crowds on the ships. We had decided no more ocean/sea cruises.

Then Viking Cruises began advertising their European River Cruises. We decided to try this since the ships looked more to our style. We took our first river cruise (Paris to Normandy) in 2015 for our 40th anniversary. We LOVED it! We have sailed on a second river cruise and have a third one planned this year.

We decided to try Viking Ocean cruising since we had loved our previous experiences with this group. Most importantly because there would only be less than 1000 passengers instead of 3000 or more! And we found that the Viking experience we loved also sails on the ocean!!
