The reason I chose this ship is because my normal ship the Pacific Jewel was retired from Sydney so I had no choice. My feet swelled up "Fluid". So some times I couldn't put my shoes on, no one cared except one night 2 security guys decided to show off in front of a female security person. And made it in to a big thing, was 11:30 one night I went to get some cold water. Any body would have thought I was throwing furniture about the way they carried on, smirking at the female.

Luckily a lot of staff from the Jewel transferred to the Explorer so they got in a lot of trouble over it as most of the other staff knew me from other cruises. So just watch some of the security people who may be a bit over enthusiastic. The ship is nice, but very segregated. One bar that has trivia and other events is at the front of the ship, while the marquee where shows and other events are held is at the back of the ship, and both are very closed off.

There seems to be no sign of fun inside the ship if you understand what I mean. Getting around gets a bit confusing at times also. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Pantry "Buffet" has very nice food and great variety. BUT, is at the front of the ship which is not good for any one prone to sea sickness as you feel every up and down movement of the ship while trying to eat.
