It's a very large, highly populated ship. The pool area could and should be bigger to accommodate the 4,000 plus guests. It's shoulder to shoulder in the pool area but there's a very busy bar and it has a great vibe. And they seem to handle the crowds well, with the exception of booking entertainment reservations. I confess, this was our sixth cruise, three on Carnival and three on NCL, and this was the first time we've had to make reservations to see the shows. The comedy shows were booked "sold out" before we even got on the ship. Frustrating, to say the least. They've turned the on-board entertainment into the "Game of Thrones" where only the fit survive. Book early or miss out. I guess my preference would be that they hold the most "in demand" shows in the big theater. But no. They hold the comedy shows in the comedy club, which is vastly undersized. Why not move the comedy shows to the big theater instead of excluding so many guests who want to see the comedians but don't want to stand in-line on "stand by" in hopes of getting in. Guess that would be too logical. The dining reservations were largely booked as well. Fortunately we booked those before the trip and enjoyed some fine meals at La Cuchina, Le Bistro and Teppenyaka. The crew was by and large, top shelf - eager to please and always very friendly. It's a big ship and a big crew and for the most part, everyone was great. The food was excellent. Service in The Manhattan dining room was slow both times we ate there. It was much faster and more efficient in Taste and Savor dining rooms. We enjoyed some good lunches at O'Sheehans but the menu is a little limited so it's not an every day "go to." Our favorite bar was "Five O'Clock Somewhere" outside on the Waterfront. There we got to know Kamal Jeet, aka "K.J." from India. He was a great server and treated us very well. All-in-all a great cruise. Getting on the ship and off the ship at the end was quick and easy. They have a good system. We love NCL and find that for the money, they offer a great product. We'll cruise NCL again.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

Nice. Ample storage and the bed was comfortable. Near the elevator so access to the rest of the ship was easy. No complaints.

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

This is NCL's private island and seemed like NCL's attempt to get their hands in your pocket. But if you like a pool or the beach, you'd like this better. The shops were overpriced and offered limited selection. The food and drink was overpriced.

Cozumel

Great shopping and great prices. Bought all of our souvenirs here. If you like to barter with the locals, you'll love Cozumel.
