We had decided to join our friends on this cruise however we had not done our homework and the weather was brutally hot. Of course Viking can’t control the environment but it certainly would be a key factor if we decided to go again in that time slot. We enjoyed the amenities and service on the ship especially High Tea. It would have been nice to have tours that we’re a bit longer at each stop but that might have created logistics problems for Viking. We did spend a few days in Athens before departure which was a mistake. The city is quite dirty and the smog was overbearing. Unfo, there was graffiti on many of the buildings and it seems as if the city does not have the resources to clean up after the street artists abusing public property . All and all we certainly would recommend the itinerary and the cruise.
