Viking Star Review

This was good, but not as good for sight seeing as the river cruises are.

We wanted to see southern Europe and thought it would be a better experience. The service was excellent, but the tours were only average. We had better tours and fun on our river cruises. Some of the ports were too far from the places we were to visit. This made the trip somewhat disappointing. The ship was not as modern as we expected. The tour guide in Rome was terrible. I don't think we even tipped him! He left us alone in Rome for 4 hours and of course, we got horribly lost. I won't do another ocean voyage with Viking, It was really not our cup of tea. The food was good, but the variety was average. The orientation was Average, but not inclusive of what we would have expected. The entertainment started too late. All after we went to our cabin for the night. When I got home, I had interstitial pneumonia, and I got sick on the bus to Pisa. I thought we were going to Florence! It never happened.

Cabin Review

There was a lot of movement in the cabin. It made it hard to sleep
