We chose this because it was kid friendly and last minute time off from work. I picked a suite. Even though it was on the lower level I felt a little better just because we were bringing a two year old with us and he’s a climber. Everyone is very nice on the Vista and the older portions of the craft were being maintained properly it feels like.
I have one very very large complaint!!!!!!! The rooms 2431 -2433 and maybe even more than that are at a ridiculous level of loud. Like there’s a pot and pan party that is going on where every five minutes or so they slam one up against the railing outside. It is quite literally unbearable even after having brought ear plugs. I did read after I purchased the cruise about these rooms from another reviewer and was prepared with ear plugs. The first night was a total loss on sleep and the last night was a total loss. Just FYI for all who are booking. Stay away from the rooms under kitchens
The cabin is large. Very much space for our family of four. Will never ever stay here again. The cleaning of dishes or whatever the hell they are doing up there is basically the entire day and night. Completely unacceptable in my opinion. The design of this craft should of taken into account the amount of noise that you would here and then planned accordingly. It’s ridiculous.
Galveston was ok. Next time I will print all the luggage tags so I don’t have to carry anything. It was a long walk. Even thru the cruise terminal
Perfect for the kids. They loved it.
