My bucket list always included Iceland and the Faroe Islands and I was very fortunate my wife shared the excitement of these locations. We live in northern Canada and have visited the ocean inlets of Alaska so the fiords of Norway were spectacular but not unfamiliar.

Being my first cruise and my wife's second, we were looking forward to a smaller ship without the casino mentality and we found it on the Viking Sky. The service was impeccable and we never found ourselves bored even when we were at sea. At no point did we feel rushed while onboard. The entertainment was varied and always enjoyable.

My wife enjoyed the fitness and recreation centre as well as the spa. The shore excursions fit the bill in all cases. Read more
