They promise 'luxury' but the reality is very different. Last year the ship was refurbished and to be fair some areas of the ship are stunning. The pros: * Relatively good value * The dining room areas are beautifully designed * The cabins are well laid out * Everywhere is kept spotless The cons: * We didn't get the cabin type we paid for - big let down * The best meal was on the last day in the European restaurant * The buffet 'restaurant' was like a school canteen. Lots of pushing and shoving, best avoided. Not much choice * The beds are rock hard consisting of a very thin mattress. Bring a mattress topper! This was one of the biggest complaints - the quality of the mattresses. * The gym is terrible. A great space but very limited equipment. You pay for all the fitness classes * Even though the ship is based in NZ for the summer season all prices are quoted in Australian dollars + gst + service charge = everything is expensive * Wine choice is minimal * Constant upselling * Poor retail choices All in all, we had a reasonably average cruise let down by attention to detail.

Very average cruise + they don't guarantee your cabin type
