Sail Date: May 2010

I booked this cruise, rather hastily, through a special Newspaper offer, which offered a balcony cabin, at a very good price. I won't go into detail of my complaints with the travel agent - suffice it to say we were grossly misled. However, suffice it to say, I approached this cruise with some trepidation, as after I booked it we went on a cruise with another line, and met folks who had been on an MSC cruise and were most unimpressed.

We flew from Gatwick to Bologna and then a 2 hour coach trips to Venice. Embarkation was most pleasant and quick and we were escorted by a delightful young lady to our cabin and our cases arrived within 5 minutes. The cabin was very good, although a trifle small, and beautifully clean. The towels, bathrobes and linen of the highest quality. Very impressive.

It is the largest ship I have ever been on but it never seemed really crowded and is very impressive and unless I knew otherwise would have judged it to be brand new.
