Viking personnel provided us with the help we needed to find a dentist on a Saturday afternoon when we arrived at the terminal. My husband required an emergency root canal. We wouldn't have been able to enjoy the cruise without the help that we got to get rid of his tooth pain. I got seasick and barely made it to the restroom from the Worlds Café. That evening the ships doctor called to check on how I was doing. We were surprised to meet up with a couple that was on the Australia and New Zealand cruise we took last December. And we also met some of crew members that were on the Australia and New Zealand cruise on this cruise. As on the last cruise, the personnel on this cruise were all willing to fill any special request I had. I enjoy eating a kiwi every morning and I was provided with one. Every morning when I went to eat breakfast the young man manning the fruit area had a peeled orange ready for me. I can not drink juice, can eat only the whole fruit. When I didn't want to eat neither shrimp in curry sauce or fried shrimp on the menu, there was a grilled shrimp option available for me. The Specialty Resturants served great food. The service was always great. The stateroom attendants provided us with a bedsheet for under the comforter. There was a Crafters Meeting for crafters. The Opera Show was interesting as was the Tango Show. And rhe lady playing the harp was really great. I had two Reflexology Masages that were great.Viking goes out of their way to see that we are helped with whatever we might need. We have traveled on other cruise lines and none have provided the service that we get on Viking.
We had lots of drawer space to unpack our belongings. Our attendants were great and saw that we had plenty of tissues which we greatly needed due to allergies.
Viking surprised us with an upgrade to the Penthouse Veranda.
We really enjoyed seeing the penguins.
The tour guide was great. Really enjoyed all the information she provided.
