Plenty to do, we brought books to read but didn’t need them. Although we did relax by taking advantage of the spa (massages and facial). The gym was set up very well (water, towels and staff). We filled our days at sea with the wonderful lectures and classes that aligned with the ports of destination. We also started a routine of a game of gin rummy and pre-dinner drink.

The excursions we went on proved to be the highlight to the trip some of our favorite places, Bora Bora-snorkeling, New Zealand-Sailing an America’s cup racing vessel, Australia-the Sydney harbor bridge climb. We also enjoyed the lower keyed excursions as well that allowed us to get a closer look at the cultures of the peoples and hear their stories. We found the excursion activities to be set up very well something that would fit a variety of people and outlined accurately in the brochure so selecting online before the cruise can be done with confidence-which is what we did. I don’t think you would be disappointed in a Viking cruise if you like a smaller ship with all comforts and none of the over the top glitz of the larger liners. We had a very nicely appointed room, that was serviced twice daily, stocked drink fridge, a large variety of food choices and wonderful entertainment.
