We choose this cruise because of the itinerary and Viking because of their excellent reputation. The Viking cruise is a smaller ship with approx 930 passengers. The atmosphere catering to adults with a relaxed vibe was appealing. The cabins are very nice...love the heated bathroom floor. The food was excellent. The crew attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the special luncheons on the fan tail during sea days. The specialty restaurants were amazing but we certainly enjoyed the restaurant and the cafe dining as well.
Rooms are cleaned daily. The bathroom towels and amenities were refreshed as needed.
The excursions were varied and we found them to be well done. Guides were knowledgeable and professional in their presentations. The groups were small enough to be able to interact with the guide and others. Some ports we did not join an excursion. The cruise activity reception had maps and other information making adventuring on your own easy. This was our second cruise...first one with Viking. We enjoyed ourselves so much we recently booked another Viking ocean cruise for May.
Loved the heated bathroom floor. The shower amenities were a good quality. I liked the body wash.. nice light fragrance and non drying. The daily restocked mini fridge was a plus. Our steward was very helpful and was quick to handle our requests. The bed was comfortable and we had no trouble relaxing. Every cabin has a veranda with chairs. The sitting area in the room had ample space to enjoy our room service breakfasts on early excursion days. Very handy to have a self service launderette on each floor.
We were familiar so choose to explore on our own
Easy to get to gardens and cafes on our own. We were able to reschedule our Masada and Dead Sea excursion so we were quite pleased with the crews efforts
Beautiful town. Easy to get around and take photos information from activity crew made it easy to plan our visit.
