This being our first cruise with Norwegian, I had higher expectations than we received. With so many other cruise lines, I have no reason to return to this cruise line.
This ship and others Norwegian ships have no docking rights, so they don't go pier side, you have to be tendered in. And when the seas are rough, they just cancel your port visit. With a too bad so sad... no refund, NOTHING.... No where did I find that we would be tendered in. You don't know this until on board and read it on the daily itinerary.
ONE Line to get off the boat, which was LONG and wrapping around...
We paid to go to certain ports, this was my teens Christmas present. ONE port for 5 days. No impressed, and this being a small ship, 4 days at sea, was pretty boring...
Many areas of the ship smelled like backed up sewage
The ship was sooo rocky, they had to close the pools. the pools were splashing so hard they emptied themselves a couple times in only 5 day cruise.
The food in dining was good, it was a long wait after you ordered your meal to get to your table.
The buffets were the same all 5 days. Nothing special nor anything to brag about.
We were going to get the teens a soda package. However, their were no kiosks that they could just go up to for a refill. Teens had to go to the bars, to get a refill. Teens have no business being around bars. the package also came with no travel mug or anything, regular plastic cups each time. We skipped the whole beverage package deal, such a waste of money.
Entertainment was only 30 mins each, vice a hour other places. And the host had the worst lame jokes. It was like they were killing time, to drag out 30 mins.
Looking forward to taking our teens on a real cruise, so they can really experience why we love cruising..
Interior rooms are like a shoe box.
Drawer fronts fell off and had to be fixed.
Shower flooding over, and not draining. Flooded into cabin and needed a blower to dry it out.
Sofa hard as a rock, which was one of the beds for my teen.
Battery in the safe died.
AC not working to capacity
Certain decks had their water turned off, for what they called "routine maintenance". Why would you be having routine maintenance while at sea???
Once out of the port area, and past all the husslers, just take a taxi to the beach boardwalk... Great deals and food.
