MSC Seaside Cruise Review by CherryHintonBlue
- Sail Date: January 2020
- Destination: Eastern Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Aurea Grand Suite
Also of note is the excellent Thermal Spa, entrance to which comes free with the "Aurea experience" level of booking. We loved this.
Main dining room service and food was excellent. The buffets left a bit to be desired compared to, say, Celebrity, but were OK. We also go the feeling the ship could be better staffed; the waits at the bar were sometimes quite long, and the speed of clearing tables in the buffet definitely could be improved.
MSC is offering something a bit different, and is well worth a look. And check out the cabin...

The suites are huge, but if you have a party of four (or at a pinch, five, using the sofa) the price may be comparable to two individual two-person staterooms. It was for our cruise, anyway!
Along with the two bedrooms, there are two bathrooms, both large and fully equipped, as well as a walk-in wardrobe big enough to change in, and of course the main living area. Check out the photos. It's an excellent setup.
The only drawback is that as with any staterooms at the front of a ship, there can be a bit more movement than in the centre of the ship. Also, it's quite a long walk to the nearest stairs and elevators.
Port & Shore Excursion Reviews
Ocean Cay MSC Marine ReserveReally lovely private island, comfortably big enough to handle a shipload of passengers. A few teething problems when we went in January 2020, as it had only just opened, but I assume they'll have been fixed by the time most people read this.View All 59 Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve Cruise Port Reviews
