Sail Date: Jan 2020
Cabin: Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

My spouse and I cruised on the January 5, 2020 sailing out of Miami. Overall, we had a good time, BUT there are things NCL could improve upon. I am very detailed oriented and for those who are not, it’s ok. Here are some details (for those who are interested) and listed in no particular order:

1) Time changed during our sailing. NCL moved the Ship’s time forward by one hour the night prior to docking in Puerto Rico. NCL moved the Ship’s time back the night of our last Port. The change in time was to sync to the time of the Islands we visited.

2) An Earthquake occurred prior to our docking in Puerto Rico and the Island had no power. Why NCL still decided to still dock was crazy and our port fees were not reimbursed.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

The Stateroom walls creaked, which was bothersome as we slept. The clearance from the foot of our bed to the wall was extremely tiny, as my spouse is very tall and my spouse’s feet hung off of the foot of the bed, but not mine as I am shorter. Whether we were trying to walk to the balcony or use the bathroom at night we had to squeeze by the bed and/or I had to brush by my spouse’s feet each time to get around the cabin as each of us slept, which sometimes would cause either of us to awake.

We loved the “Do not Disturb” and “Make-up Room” buttons, which were lit in color on the outside door wall’s silver panel that displayed our Stateroom number. The Shower was great!

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

Great Weather! We shopped at the pier went for a couple of drinks at a bar with swings.

Miami

Flew in the day prior to cruising. Recommend visiting the Designer District. Valet parking was only $5 for four hours. Stayed at the Hyatt Centric Brickell and parked across the street (one block down) overnight for $10.
