We selected this cruise solely because of the dates and location. And we would could not have selected a more perfect experience. The crew was magnificent; attentive, friendly, cheerful, kind, and seemed to enjoy their work experience as much as we enjoyed our vacation. Our cabin, a veranda state room, was compact but comfortable and beautifully appointed. The food was lovely, with choices to satisfy any taste or dietary needs. The excursions were just right - knowledgeable guides, educational (without being pedantic), and well geared toward the demographic of the passengers most of who were 60-70+. Not too strenuous, but not boring. The tours ranged from three or four busloads of participants for the included tours, and some optional excursions with as few as 6-8 people. These were very special - particularly our canoeing on the Rhone and trip to the Camargue. There were so many excursions to chose from, that we missed some of the sites we wanted to include. One of the highlights was the Pont du Gard, an ancient Roman aqueduct bridge built in the first century AD. The Camargue was fantastic - the wild coast, a lovely bird sanctuary packed with flamingos, the indigenous horses and bulls, and charming villages.
Everything was where it should be, lots of storage, excellent lighting, very nice TV (as if we ever had time to watch), beautiful toiletries. Mattress pad was a bit worn out - lumpy. But other linens were perfect. Everything was in perfect working condition. Room was services early and completely clean and pristine.
