The Celebrity Equinox is a great ship. Our veranda cabin was spacious although with less storage than we were used to having. There are storage bunkers above the bed. The rounded bottom corners of the bed were necessary for movement in the room but I did not care for the loss of foot room in the bed. Storage space in the bath was much greater than previously experienced. No feeling of being crowded at all. Did miss having a 'drying line' for wet swimsuits. Veranda was very spacious with table large enough to enjoy room service meals.
The Eastern Mediterranean cruise we were on was it's first but went smoothly. Days at sea and ports were nicely interspersed. Booked 2 tours through the ship and others independently. Just confirmed we like independent tours and not part of a herd using 'whisperers'. But, the unrest in Athens made us cautionary so we went with the ship tour there.
Dining room service and menus were great and we loved not having the constant entertainment provided by the dining room staff as evidenced on other lines. They could focus on service and not being the entertainment. Buffets on Deck 14 were wonderful and varied. Did not utilize specialty dining so no report there.
Great cabin, 7352, but our neighbor's in 7354 was better. They had bed area next to veranda and sitting area next to bathroom when you entered. That way, you were not constantly having to navigate around the end of the bed. Verandas were nice. Liked not having to battle the entry door/closet door situation. Room doors opened out into the hallway and closet was not in entry.
