We wanted to see Alaska. This cruise hit all the high points, plus we took the six day Denali extension. That was the highlight!

We only travel with Viking since our first cruise several years ago on the Viking Star's second voyage in the Mediterranean. This was our fourth Viking cruise and we have another on the calendar. We like that all the ships are exactly the same, so once on board, we feel very much at home. The ships are just the right size, not overwhelming. All on board are adults, so no kids running up and down the passageways. Sooo relaxing when you're at sea!

The food is excellent and the staff is very attentive. Great dining options available from white tablecloth to casual buffet. We love the simple, clean, comfortable, functional Scandinavian design of the cabins and ship. The Explorers lounge forward is a very relaxing place to read and enjoy the passing scenery. .

Cabin Review

Nice, but had a structural member running up the center where the glass sliding doors should have been. We had a door to the veranda, but was inconvenient and ruined the view. Otherwise cabin was great.
