We chose this cruise as an celebration of my birthday. The Ruby did not meet our expectations at all. The staff was not at all customer oriented and for the most parr were just going through the motions. The buffet was subpar. The Vines lounge was excellent and a great offering. The staff in this lounge made our cruise. Overall This was by far the worst cruise we have taken and we have taken 7, with four of those on previous Princess cruises.

The entertainment was good and varied. The overall condition of the ship and staff would barely rate a two star hotel rating.

The “Share” restaurant even though you had to pay extra to experience it was outstanding. A true dining delight. The Grill on the other hand is not worth the $35.00 per person to eat a steak. The $19.00 dining charge to eat pub food in the Salty Dog is a joke .This cruise would not make a first time, or even an experienced cruiser want to take another Princess cruise.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Adequate but needs refurbished. The balcony was rusty and dirty. The bed was very comfortable.
