I scheduled a full day tour with a private operator (www.toursofathens.com or dennisprivatetours@yahoo.com) and I list his address here with complete confidence that you will have a great day with him. 
I chose him rather than a ship sponsored tour because of the access to smaller areas that a private driver can give you over a large bus. I was well rewarded for this choice. Dennis was great. We had a beautiful day in Athens with as much time at each stop as we wanted, rather than the ship's schedule. The Acropolis was breathtaking, even with the work going on and the noisy cranes. The Changing of the Guard at the Parliment was viewed on a quiet side street where a large bus cannot transit. The Hill of Lyccabettous gave us an incredible view of Athens. 
Dennis took us to a small restaurant filled with locals and we had a delicious lunch in less than 45 minutes. We visited the Old Palace, the Temple of Zeus, the Olympic stadium, the Roman Agora and ended at Plaka for some shopping time. 
Athens is a big city, a 21st century city with 21st century problems. But, the history is there to see and I highly recommend Dennis to take you through it. 


Athens (Piraeus)

I also utilized a private tour operator for this port because there was so much I wanted to accomplish in one day, I didn't think a ship sponsored tour was for me. I used www.tourofitaly.com and Giovanni was our driver. 
Actually this company consists of two people, a father/son combination. Giovanni ended up to be as much of a "site" to visit as any one of the small villages along the Amalfi Coast. Ravello, Positano, Amalfi, Praiano, and Giovanni! We had a day full of fun, shopping, site seeing and swerving along the coast line. Pompeii is incredible. Mount Vesuvius was in all her glory! Sorrento is a beautiful town. 
We were met at 8am and deposited back at the port at 6pm. Lunch was at a small "mom and pop" shop overlooking the Bay of Naples and the Amalfi coastline. So picturesque! If you want a full Amalfi experience, give Giovanni and Giancarlo a shot! 


Naples

I utilized EKOL travel for this port for the same reasons listed above. There is so much to see here that I didn't want to be at someone else's timetable mercy! 
Ephesus and the Terrace Houses are a visit of a lifetime. We saw all the sights there are to see here and Nur was a great guide. I know many people from the ship utilized EKOL and I didn't hear anything negative about them. 


Kusadasi

Incredible walled city. So distinct. A trip back in time. We loved it! 


Rhodes

I heard you either love or hate Mykonos. It is a desert like island, very barren. But, what a cute town. So typically Greek. I loved it! 
Went to Paradise Beach on the public bus for 1 Euro. Had to take a taxi back though because the (once per hour) bus was full and we didn't have the time to wait for the next one. Great shopping. Wonderful people. I will definitely go back for a longer visit 


Mykonos

Cable cars and donkeys. How can you go wrong when those are the primary methods of transportation! There is not another island like Santorini. We rode the cable car up from the port and spent the day in Fira and walked down the steps at the end of the day. What an adventure! Great shopping. Great people 


Santorini

Cabin 1602 AquaClass - beds near closet. Closet small, not enough storage but great location, great veranda, great service.

No going to a room and waiting, we walked off when we were ready each time.The ship never seemed crowded and I have no idea if it was sold out.
