Sail Date: Jul 2019

After traveling to many different areas of Great Britain, we realized that seeing the coast line of these beautiful lands would help round out our experiences. We chose Viking because of the path the ship sailed and the different countries and ports that we would visit.

While driving is a wonderful way to experience a new area, seeing what the rugged coast line is like can not be accomplished by car. When you consider the most northern point of the British Isles, going by car is an extremely difficult way to visit as a tourist and time consuming. Seeing western England, Ireland & Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, the Orkneys, Shetland, and disembarking in Norway was exciting.

The people and their cultural differences are what we find interesting. Since we were never able to live in Great Britain, traveling by land, interacting with the locals and cruising its shores has given us a glimpse into what living there might be like.

Cabin Review

EXCELLENT! The extra room (338 sq ft) from a Deluxe Veranda (270 sq ft) gives you extra counter space to lay items when returning to the room, more drawers for clothing etc., extra large desk and a mini bar with soft drinks, liquor and a bottle of champagne . The space allows for a large sofa, table and chair to relax while having a conversation or reading. This is our favorite cabin.
