We always had wanted to see the midnight sun and this did not disappoint. The ship is laid out wonderful and we loved the size of the ship. Had no problem meeting people, we choose to eat buffet style most nights as it was easy to sit next to someone new each night. The entertainment on board was exceptional, the cruise director is one of the best we have ever seen. The food and service were outstanding. We enjoyed the included excursions, they were not perfect, but overall, well done. We did not do many of the optional excursions, if you plan ahead, you can do things on your own for less money and have a great experience. It is always fun to go into the towns where docked and explore them on your own. We did our own pre-trip to Iceland, would highly recommend this. Would not hesitate to take an ocean cruise with Viking again. We have done their river cruises and would say the same.
