Sail Date: Apr 2019

We had always wanted to visit destinations listed in this itinerary and it fulfilled that desire. It just so happened that it was aboard the Viking Orion, our first Viking Ocean Cruise. The ship was all and more than we expected. Our stateroom 6050 was comfortable, roomy, storage for suitcase under the bed, large closet, great layout in bathroom, balcony, very nice bed. On top of all this the ship was very quiet.

Since this was an Asian cruise food specialties were available to fit the region visited beside the regular fare. We had most meals in the World Cafe as we enjoyed the large selection of food available but you could order whatever you wanted. Both food, service, beverage were very good and made for an e enjoyable experience.

Cities visited mostly required fairly long bus rides. Our best experience was an overnight on the Mekong River, a side trip offered and highly recommend if offered. Ha Long Bay was beautiful. Great cities, friendly experience and destination we'll never forget.

Cabin Review

Very comfortable, extremely quiet, good storage and closet and drawer space. Excellent layout in the bath and roomy shower. Balcony was roomy with table and 2 chairs. Heavy door instead of a day sliding door to balcony.

No problem with internet in room. The bed provided comfort, good support and restful nights. 2 barrel chairs for relaxation and several live stations available for tv.

We have done 7 Viking River cruises so we are not new to what to expect from Viking, their motto ought to be "Exceed Expectations", they did.

Bangkok (Laem Chabang)

Arrived to late for tours. Got a good rest aboard ship.
