The Jupiter is a beautiful ship, and this was for us a different and interesting itinerary. For the most part, we were very happy with everything. Viking went over and aboard in the embarkation and disembarkation days for us because we had arranged air and transfers through them (we were taken to breakfast en route to the ship and the last day given an extra tour and hotel ballroom to hang out until our transfer to the airport for a late flight out). Loved the layout of the ship. Loved the classy decor and low key approach (no photographers, no sheets of paper to market stores or book upcoming cruises left on bed at night, only one announcement a day). Love the amenities offered at no extra charge (wine and beer at meals, laundry facilities, free wifi, no charge for specialty restaurants, included excursions, steam and sauna rooms and spa area, etc). The bed is comfortable and the bathroom shower larger than expected, with great water pressure and heated floors.
That being said, we were disappointed in most of the included tours as they were very superficial (except in Buenos Aires - that one was great). For others going on this itinerary, you will get the most out of the ports by purchasing shore excursions or looking for alternatives (we did a free walking tour in Valparaiso which was great and the Patrick Watts Volunteer Point tour in the Falklands was the highlight of our whole cruise).
Evening entertainment was pretty much what you expect on a cruise.
Cabin was very nice and for us had adequate storage for clothes after we requested extra hangers. However, we are very good at packing minimally so for people who bring a lot of clothes and shoes, it might be tight.
