Economical and ports of call. The ship had engine problems so we never made it to the Dominican Republic. Got a lousy $50 on board credit. The next day the water and winds were too rough to dock at Grand Turk. The ship vibrated on and off the entire time. The stabilizers evidently were not functioning well because we rocked severely the entire trip. Several staff were rude. The ship’s condition was poor. Several leaks from the ceiling were occurring throughout the ship. The pool was closed one day because of repairs. I will question going on any Carnival ship in the future. I would expect a refund but. Finically is too cheap to do that. Good points: food was decent, Bed was comfortable and shower was good and strong. The passengers on this ship were very friendly. More friendly than the staff. Our cabin steward was great. No issues here. Dining was mostly good. The food was decent and the buffet offered variety. We did encounter one curt waiter in the dining room the very first night however. The activities were adequate. The typical offerings found on any cruise. We did notice that the service at the pool was poor. We had to clean our own table a couple of times and had to ask for a wet Wright to wipe it off. Seemed like there were only a couple of cleaners and waiters around that area. Service was hit and miss. Good at times and very slow in certain areas. For example there was a sandwich made to order section in the buffet area. At lunch the line was huge and there was only one person making the sandwiches. Help seemed to be short all over the ship. Entertainment was so so. I guess adequate for the price of the cruise and this size ship. To sum up, it would have helped if the ship was in good repair AND we had gotten to our paid for ports, but the other issues I mentioned needed improvement also. I would NEVER recommend this ship to anyone.
