Shoddy service at sea

This must be the worst ship in the fleet for service. Food isn't great either and hygiene standards in the restaurants are unusually low.

There seemed too few staff to offer a good standard of drinks service and service at the bars was random (unless you tip, which we did!).

Managers were disinterested in feedback.

Cocktails were dreadful, never had the same mix twice and no at seat service in the show lounge.

I suspect that the further away the company get from the origional Thompson brand the lower the standards become.

Food was cafe standard in the main dining room, tapas was lovely but the italian was distinctly average too.

Dont expect the usual frills with your suite either, no canapes or bubbly on this boat.

Usually, the good point outweighs the bad, but this time it just tipped the other way, I would never want to go on the explorer again.

Cabin Review

Lovely caving with a good spacious balcony.
