Cabin: Interior

First cruise on a ship this large. Poor cabin location as all the noise from the atrium made our cabin too loud well into the night. No more "we will assign your cabin" cruises for us. No promenade. No more cruises on a ship without a promenade deck & chairs for us. For the upside, if the ship was fully booked, it did not seem crowded, which was nice. And the food in the Horizon Bistro was excellent. Best we've had in our many cruises. Other ships could do so well. Overall the loudness of the atrium area trickled into most of the inside seating areas, which was sad for us readers. Library was way too small. Not enough outside seating areas in the shade. The casino was anything but full. Shrink it and put in a real library. The Medallion worked well for us. We enjoyed our excursions and had wonderful weather for our shore visits. Our only tender-day was, like the Medallion, fast & efficient. Overall, had a couple of downsides we lived with, but we would take again & recommend as long as we select the cabin not above the atrium.

Cabin Review

Interior

Not sure of the interior cabin category, but cannot recommend. Was a 'last second' cruise for us and Princess 'selected' the cabin. Never again. All the noise (loud music) from the atrium made our room loud until late into the evening. Was pleasant enough other than having the throbbing beat of the music to live with if back before 11:30 or whatever time it stopped.

Port Reviews

Princess Cays

Easy rental of 'stuff' (clam-shell shade & lounge chairs, aqua chair, snorkel gear) and a great buffet for lunch. Service staff was friendly and efficient this time (much better than in the past). Nice day on the beach & in the water (though a little cool for me).

St. Maarten

We find the beach and service from the Lazy Lizard (beach lounges, umbrella & food) to be excellent so do not need an excursion for a single day in Sint Maarten. They take care of everything in a most efficient manner at a reasonable cost. Highly recommended.
