We were a family of four, two adults, two children. We were pleased to discover that carnival passengers had free access to the Queen Mary ship docked in Long Beach. Don’t miss visiting this historic cruise ship.
Embarkation was a bit chaotic but the staff were pleasant and welcoming.
Our family cabin for four was larger and better equipped than previous cruises. Our Indonesian cleaner was full of smiles and friendly and helpful. The family rooms are located in the family harbour zone which has its own restaurant where you could go to relax, watch videos/ play games and help yourselves to drinks and snacks at any time during the day/evening.
Food was awesome! Pizza 24/7 was delicious.
Hot tubs could be slightly warmer, but still good fun. Gym is very well equipped.
The band was called “The Night Shift” and it was worth going on the cruise just to see them. Awesome musicians who can play anything by request and mingled with the audience every night.
We really recommend doing the brewery tour. Colin (the beer admiral) does the tour and is funny, interesting and very knowledgable. Also recommend doing the tequila tour in Puerto Vallarta.
Only sad thing is that we will probably never go on a ship as nice as the Carnival Panorama ever again.
