Very disappointed. Our 5th cruise on Princess. Loved the first four. Booked this because we wanted to see Belize. Then Belize was removed from the itinerary. Our cabin was nice. Seemed just like the others but the shower was a little bigger. Liked the tv mounted on the wall. Because of the outrageous noise level nearly everywhere else onboard, I chose to spend more quiet time in the cabin. Nice new movies.

The Piazza is larger than on the other ships but no longer a good place to relax. Always something loud happening there too. The games in Princess Live were enjoyable but really inane. Bingo was $69. Only played once. Way too expensive. Seems like most activities were built around shopping. All the shows were geared toward a younger crowd...those who think everything needs to be deafening. My husband had to turn off his hearing aids! I wore ear plugs but still had to keep my fingers in my ears. Conversation was near impossible except in the dining rooms. We walked through the pool area one day and the movie playing was so loud I threw my food away so I could plug my ears.

I spoke personally to the cruise director about the volume level everywhere and he just shrugged his shoulders and laughed. Read more
