WE like the size of Viking ships + no children, no casino, excellent food, comfortable cabins, FRIENDLY staff, & always an educational component. Cabins...always a great view & "patio", so spoiled by Cabin stewards...clean towels 2x daily, bed turned down nightly, knew our names and greeted us as we came & went. FOod- Enjoyed variety of menus & venues- Wait & bar staff are very efficient & personable. Interesting to meet staff from different countries, remembered special requests. Pool deck was favorite for lunch, dining room for dinner, World Cafe for breakfast - always good food. ENtertainment...both educational & enjoyable. CAnt say enough about our wonderful Cruise Director, Heather...so efficient and entertaining..and so talented, herself. We learned from "our" professor, the history, culture, geography of each Country we visited. We learned and experienced opera...an unusual treat. Ports/shore excursions..again, wel managed and efficient. We did the included (bus trip) tour at most places, which were usually ok. Enjoyed Falkland Islands. Not included, but extra cost, Ushuaia End of the World Train....interesting & scenic, but felt like we were in cattle cars...too crowded, not worth the expense. One of our high latest was the post trip in Santiago, Chile....Andes bus trip to Portillo Ski Resort, City walking tour ( very special, only 6 of us). The company in charge of "us" in Santiago did a great job.
