As an avid cruiser, we pretty much know what to expect when sailing the Caribbean. Perhaps because MSC is a European line, our expectations were unrealistic. No hair conditioner or tissues, bar service in shows, at the pool and in common areas was non existent. There are no quiet areas to read or relax. Loud music everywhere. All common areas are open to the galleria, including the specialty restaurants. No intimate, romantic dinner anywhere. If you want a steak (other than a 1/4 in thick strip), you must pay $25. Lobster only one night. Too many ala carts items. Very limited menu selections. Sauces were almost non existent except for on the strip steak which was smothered in gravy. Food was bland. Toast was never even warm, just cold room temp. Pizzas had little or no cheese. You have to pay for ice cream (gelato) but small soft serve cones were sometimes served outside on pool deck but no choice in flavor. You get what they have that day.
The coffee was very good, the shows were great although it’s the same 20 people every night. No illusionist or family comedian.Excursions were great! our cabin steward and dining attendant were outstanding.
Ample size but NO storage. (2) small drawers inside closet. No dresser, no drawers in nightstands. No place for lingerie or swimsuits especially for 2 people. There was. Place for a dresser but it was just open space.
The weather made this beach day perfect. It was quiet except for local vendors harassing you to purchase their wares. Plenty of available loungers, $20 for 30minute beach massage. Food was awful, beach shoes needed because of sharp coral but beautiful.View All 389 Beach Reviews
WhiteHouse beach. You couldn't swim by walking into water because of the coral but you could go to the pier and climb down a ladder. Husband said the water was beautiful. There was bar service on beach which was nice.View All 220 Beach Reviews
The garden tour at the falls was beautiful, informative and well organized. The beach was nice and lunch was best island lunch we have ever had. Only thing was we went to the beach first so we were in wet swimsuits all day. Shops were expensive tourist traps.View All undefined undefined Reviews
Educational. Small groups. Well organized. We also went to Starfish island. Never got the food we ordered and were never told where to go to see the stRvish. Some passengers saw them, we did not because our entire time on the island was spent waiting for food.View All 204 Snorkeling Reviews
The only adult beach was at the far end of the island. A 20-30 minute walk. Far from closest food truck. No transportation except for Yatch Club. Older adults seeking quit, no kids, are the ones that went to this beach. If you weren’t in decent shape, it was just too far to walk. This meant sitting on a crowded beach with kids everywhere. This is just not right.
