As an avid cruiser, we pretty much know what to expect when sailing the Caribbean. Perhaps because MSC is a European line, our expectations were unrealistic. No hair conditioner or tissues, bar service in shows, at the pool and in common areas was non existent. There are no quiet areas to read or relax. Loud music everywhere. All common areas are open to the galleria, including the specialty restaurants. No intimate, romantic dinner anywhere. If you want a steak (other than a 1/4 in thick strip), you must pay $25. Lobster only one night. Too many ala carts items. Very limited menu selections. Sauces were almost non existent except for on the strip steak which was smothered in gravy. Food was bland. Toast was never even warm, just cold room temp. Pizzas had little or no cheese. You have to pay for ice cream (gelato) but small soft serve cones were sometimes served outside on pool deck but no choice in flavor. You get what they have that day.
The coffee was very good, the shows were great although it’s the same 20 people every night. No illusionist or family comedian.Excursions were great! our cabin steward and dining attendant were outstanding.
Ample size but NO storage. (2) small drawers inside closet. No dresser, no drawers in nightstands. No place for lingerie or swimsuits especially for 2 people. There was. Place for a dresser but it was just open space.
The only adult beach was at the far end of the island. A 20-30 minute walk. Far from closest food truck. No transportation except for Yatch Club. Older adults seeking quit, no kids, are the ones that went to this beach. If you weren’t in decent shape, it was just too far to walk. This meant sitting on a crowded beach with kids everywhere. This is just not right.
