Veranda Suite. Spacious room. Although there was plenty of room for luggage
Christmas buffet. Looked beautiful, but the food was ordinary. Turkey breas
Lobster mac and cheese - a very good lunch entree.

We wanted to cruise over the holidays. and didn't want to fly. We live within a two-hour drive of Baltimore, and read good reviews of American Cruise Lines and its 2018-built ship Constitution. We had been to every port on the itinerary, some multiple times, so thought it would be relaxing.

Food ranged from fair to very good. Some of the best entrees were the lobster mac and cheese for lunch, and pot roast at dinner. Steaks were pretty good. Christmas buffet, the only buffet, thankfully, was mediocre. Lots of choices, but the roast turkey was a processed salty turkey roll, and the roast prime rib was tough. The side dishes and desserts were excellent.

The young staff went out of its way to please. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. We got to know them all.

Cabin Review

The veranda suite boasts 450 sq. ft. of space. It includes a large private balcony with two chairs. The bathroom is well laid out, although the glassed-in shower is small. The furniture is comfortable; the king-size bed is luxurious. The suite includes a mini-refrigerator stocked with wine and juices, and is restocked by request with the same, or sodas or beer. It's very quiet. There's a large TV set mounted on the wall with several local (New York) and cable channels, plus four ship channels, including a bow camera, a GPS map, and a fixed camera in the main lounge.
