Me and 5 other ladies chose this cruise because of price and destination - We have been cruising on Holland America for the past 5-6 years and we just wanted to try another line -

We have been extremely disappointed with this cruise - they are understaffed and the staff have not been properly trained - It is a beautiful ship indeed, but the food was totally inedible, the bartenders at the different bars were not acquainted with some cocktails like Black Russian, Manhattan, etc. looking at us like they were not understanding what we were asking for - There was an instance in the main dining room (WAVES) where one of our friends requested a WHITE LABEL (Dewar's) with a splash of soda, and he was totally clueless, he had to go and get someone else to "interpret" what she was trying to say.

The cabin service was poor, no tissues in the dispenser, the beds were not made in the proper manner, one time I called guest services to request 2 additional rolls of toilet paper as we only had half of one left and it took over 2 hours to get them and the next day when the cabin was cleaned one of the rolls was taken so I had to call again to get it back- Read more
