We chose this cruise because we could be with family members of various ages. And that was accomplished. However, we are experienced cruisers and found the food poor (expected more from Princess) and not particularly fresh; the staterooms were quite dingy (but clean); and the entertainment lackluster, Pluses were embarkation and disembarkation; both of which went quite smoothly. The children that were with us really enjoyed the services available and this was a plus. There did not appear to be any enrichment activities other than art shows to sell product.

While the steward tried there were gaps in service. For instance, we were unable to secure tissues for the stateroom for the first 3 days. Even the fruit in the cafe seemed "worn." It seemed that it had been cut before being put on the ship and just got dished out. The bread was quite lacklustre and were the rest of the baked goods--they looked pretty but were tastless.

We had heard that the ship had been refurbished--perhaps that only referred to the public areas as the cabins were really poor. The couch in our cabin seemed to be listing to the side and was not comfortable to sit on.
