We have been on many different cruise lines with great experiences. I can only say that we chose this cruise line thinking we would get a different experience. This cruise was to celebrate our 30th Anniversary. We paid for a room with a balcony and wanted a view. Was put in a room with a solid metal balcony and we couldn’t see the sea unless we were standing. Food was absolutely the worst. Over 7 days we had a couple of decent meals. Staff were (for the most part) unfriendly, rude and totally not helpful with issues presented to them. Went to the spa and there were no towels and when I asked staff they told me they didn’t know when they would get any. Broken glass, wet floors, dirty public restrooms. The whole cruise was disorganized and there was little or no communication about a weather “ issue” that kept us from our last port of call. I have to say the Sushi Restaurant was incredible and we ate there twice because the food everywhere else was so bad. Photo gallery charged us for a picture package we never ordered. When we took this issue to Customer Relations we were told that they do that with everyone. They directed us to go to the gallery and get them to remove the charge. We did that, but it took an hour in line to fix this. We really felt this issue should have been resolved by Customer Service. We also paid $240 for a special, supposedly luxury 5 course meal in their seafood restaurant. It could not hav3 been worse food. Not one thing was decent or luxury or anything close to worth the amount we paid for the meal. BTW, we were celebrating our 30th at this meal. No manager or anyone came to our table to check and the next day we made a complaint, again at the customer service department. Their response— nothing they could do. Too many people onboard and it really just seemed that staff did not know enough to guide, direct and assist cruisers. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We will always have this crappy experience to remember our 30th. Very sad!!

Cabin Review

Bella Balcony Stateroom

Room was ok. Small and even smaller bathroom. Asked and paid for a balcony view. Was put in a room with solid metal balcony. No view. Extremely unhappy. Asked customer service, but was told the ship as full and we would just have to deal with it. Last, asked for facial tissue from our cabin staff and was told they no longer used it and were not putting it in rooms. Really? We paid thousands for this trip and can’t even get tissue to blow our noses. My advice is to stay away from this cruise line. I do not think anyone really cares about creating an optimal experience.
