My husband took me on this wonderful ship for my birthday cruise and it was a wonderful and relaxing present! The Ecstasy is in great shape and the improvements made while in dry dock were well worth it. We had a porthole cabin on U deck that was very roomy and quiet location. I did not hear one creak or squeak as we cruised along! On previous cruises, my cabin always creaked and squeaked. Seas were calm this trip, very smooth sailing and beautiful weather. Food was good, as always. We ate in dinning room for all breakfast except one and the service was great, food hot and fresh. At dinner, we were assigned table for 10 in Windsong dining room, late seating. We were seated with 5 other married couples and we had a fabulous time every evening!! Our waiter was JJ who went above and beyond each and every night!

The waterworks area is a great place to catch some sun and watch the kiddos splash and scream! Adults too! If you want peace and quiet, go down to the Serenity level which is adult only. Comfy cushions on the lounge chairs with umbrellas for shade. Serenity was our favorite after dinner spot to lay in the moonlight and have a nightcap. Ahhhhhh....paradise! The main pool area has plenty of chairs and we never had a problem finding a chair. No chair hogs on this cruise, or else we were very fortunate! :-)

First port was Progreso and I can't comment on it as we only shopped in the port then hopped back on the ship for a very quiet, relaxing day with the pool area all to ourselves!!! I'm serious! For 1 hour, it was myself and my husband in the pool. No kids....no adults... just us! Second port was Cozumel and we booked the Nachi Cocom all inclusive excursion. Beautiful resort, excellent facilities, outstanding food, white sand, blue water.... paradise! I highly recommend this excursion. You won't be disappointed!
