Sail Date: Dec 2019
Cabin: Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

This was my first NCL cruise and the “freestyle” method left a little to be desired. Many activities required a cover charge/entry fee so we felt like we were nickeled and dimed throughout the trip. The food and waitstaff had some real highs and lows but overall, it was simply forgettable.

Shows were good and certainly worth the time to attend but not standout.

Bar staff was inconsistent as well, bars were often understaffed to the point where the service was simply poor because they couldn’t handle demand. Drinks often varied quite a bit from bartender to bartender.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

A little tighter than other lines but nothing major to complain about. Bigger bathroom than you will find on some lines but the lack of counter space in favor of double sinks was a little strange. Balcony was undersized to the point of reducing functionality.

Port Reviews

New Orleans

NOLA is a place you have to see at some point but the weather was poor during our stay so it wasn’t the best time.

Roatan

Not a great beach and the horses were oversold so we got to sit around for hours...in the recommended long pants and closed toed shoes. This was the low point of our trip.

Harvest Caye

The ruins were neat but not a stand out, I wish we’d have enjoyed the beach here instead. Tour guide was great and the country was beautiful so it was time well spent but I think there are better Mayan experiences elsewhere and Belize has other great offerings.
